UK Aircon Installations is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy, access or deletion requests through our online enquiry form. Please write “privacy request” in the project details.
Information we collect
When you request a price or submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode or service address, property type, room and installation requirements, preferred timing and anything else you include in the form. We also receive basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and cookie choices.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide an indicative price.
- To understand the work required and match you with suitable independent installers.
- To arrange surveys, quotations and follow-up communication you request.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and lead-management system.
- To measure website performance where you have accepted optional cookies.
- To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the enquiry and installer-matching service, consent for optional analytics or marketing cookies, and legal obligation where applicable.
Installer introductions and lead sharing
To obtain a survey or quotation, we may share the details relevant to your project with one or more independent air conditioning installers or contractors. Those businesses may contact you directly and will become separate controllers of the information they receive. We may receive a fee for making an introduction. We do not give installers unrelated information they do not need for the enquiry.
Before submitting the form, you should only provide information you are comfortable sharing for this purpose. You can ask us not to make further introductions at any time.
Other organisations we use
We use suppliers that help us host and operate the site, store and manage enquiries, maintain security and understand site usage. These currently include our website hosting providers, Supabase for database and authentication services, and Google Tag Manager for consent-controlled tags. Suppliers may process information only for the services they provide to us.
If a supplier processes information outside the United Kingdom, we rely on an approved safeguard such as an adequacy regulation or contractual protections where required.
How long we keep information
We normally retain unsuccessful or general enquiries for up to 24 months so we can manage follow-ups, resolve queries and understand service demand. Records connected with a completed introduction, dispute, payment or legal obligation may be kept for up to six years. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required. An installer you engage may apply its own retention period and should provide its own privacy information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain uses. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Use our online enquiry form and write “privacy request” in the project details. We may need to verify your identity.
If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our service, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version and its date will always appear here.
